The setting sun bathes the western sky in its glow.
Because of winter’s early darkness, the day feels fleeting and somewhat lacking.
It might be cold outside, but I just can’t stay cooped up at home.
Yes, I’ll put on my favorite outerwear, I bought the other day, and head out.
My day has not yet begun.
EVENING
I had a feeling there would be an interesting encounter awaited me,
so I wandered around the unfamiliar streets.
Before I realized, night had fallen, and the streetlights began to glow faintly.
The air on winter nights is so crisp, refreshing, and feels really good.
I feel there’s something awaiting me in this night, and I simply can’t bring myself to stop walking.
